2022 Updates

I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus and have not posted in quite some time. I have had a lot of changes since my last blog post in 2020. More posts coming soon with updates and exciting news. 2022 has been quite the year!

First (and most exciting!), I got married! On January 5, 2022 I married my friend, travel partner and life adventurer. We had a small wedding on a snowy Wednesday at the Denver Courthouse with an intimate reception following in the Tiny Addition with close friends and family. We chose this date in honor of his grandfather as it was his birthday. It was perfect and I could not have asked for anything more. We had Indian food catered, flowers galore and a lovely cake made by my mother. When I told my parents that I wanted the reception to be at the Tiny Addition, my dad thought I was nuts! But it was perfect and in the end he thought so too.

It’s funny, we have this picture in our heads growing up of what our wedding will be like and who it will be to. Mine was nothing like I imagined and it turned our more perfectly than I every could have hoped for. I close my eyes, think of that day and can do nothing but smile. I’m grateful to the man that I married and for the perfect day. Looking forward to all of our adventures!

My husband got a job in North Carolina in 2021 and after getting married I have permanently relocated. We purchased a house this spring in Durham in a quaint neighborhood with an abundance of sidewalks, which was a rare find in this area. North Carolina is beautiful and lusciously green. We have been settling in and did a bit of remodeling (new flooring, painted the entire interior of the home, updated both bathrooms, all new light fixtures, etc). We will be finalizing our outdoor project hopefully by the end of September. Everything always takes more time than you think it will. I have finally created the kitchen potager I’ve always wanted. I’ve also been able to plant a flower cutting garden. The climate is perfect for growing our own vegetables & flowers. I cannot wait to harvest all of our goods! I started late due to a trip in late May/early June so I am a bit behind. We have so far been abundant in cilantro and jalapeños.

As for the Tiny Addition and my home in Denver, it is all still there. I am keeping the addition open for when we go back to visit family & friends and I’m still renting the main house. More updates coming soon!
